EXHIBITION  • 23 MAY> 27 SEPT.  • MUSEE DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE • CHARLEROI

I am delighted and honored to invite you to the collective exhibition ECLATS DE FAMILLES, which will take place at the MUSEE DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE in Charleroi from May 23 to September 27, 2026. This exhibition brings together eleven Belgian and Belgium-based photographers who explore their family ties. Discover the projects “Ma mère la source” by Camille Carbonaro and “A jamais fleurie” by Erell Hemmer, as well as a spotlight on MACARONIBOOK publications.

“But how do we photograph our loved ones today? How do we view our own families, the bonds that unite us—or sometimes elude us? Does family photography still evoke only frozen moments of happiness, those scenes that were so often chosen in past decades to fill photo albums? Or, at a time when the very notion of family is being redefined, reinvented, and sought elsewhere, does the image become a tool for questioning, deconstructing, and revealing the cracks and silences? And where does that fragile, almost imperceptible line lie between personal memory and artistic expression?”

A huge thank you to Adeline Rossion, the exhibition curator, for the invitation and for her trust.

•• OPENING: 23th may at 18:30 Avenue Paul Pastur 11, 6032 Charleroi (Mont-sur-Marchienne)

Macaronibook will be at the KIKK Festival print market in Namur on Saturday October 26 from 10:00 to 18:00, surrounded by talented artists and publishers.

This first print market will bring together more than 50 artists from French-speaking Belgium who see publishing and printing as mediums in their own right. Graphic designers, illustrators, authors, illustrators, publishers and cartoonists, they joyfully explore the contours, margins and possibilities of the printed image. Their productions, publications and projects lie at the crossroads of many fields: fanzines, artist’s books, magazines, stationery, clothing, multiples, posters, postcards…

It’s this effervescence, this diversity, these graphic, drawn and printed explorations that we want to promote and disseminate over the 4 days of the KIKK Festival.

A curation and coordination project for the KIKK Festival led by Pauline Rivière and Cécile Barraud de Lagerie. + d’infos
